Terms of Use — Deck Designer

The Great House LLC · Last updated: November 2026

A planning tool, not a plan to build from

The Deck Designer helps you picture a deck and start a conversation with us. Its drawings, sizes, code notes and permit information are general guidance for planning only. They are not construction documents, engineering, a permit approval or legal advice. Don't build from them. Building codes and county rules change and depend on your site; the county's decision is final.

Prices are estimates

Any price or price range is a rough budget estimate based on typical retail material prices. It is not an offer or a quote. The final price is set only by a written contract signed after a site visit.

House checks are yours to report

Answers you give about your house (siding, band board, framing and so on) are not verified. Great House checks them on site before designing an attached deck.

Pictures

3D views and "photo-real" renders are computer images of a proposed design, not photos of completed work. Colors and textures are approximate; check real samples.

Trademarks

Product and brand names (for example Trex, TimberTech, Deckorators, Veranda, NewTechWood, Home Depot, Lowe's) belong to their owners. Their use here doesn't mean they endorse or are affiliated with The Great House.

Maryland

The Great House LLC is a Virginia contractor. For Maryland projects we refer you to an MHIC-licensed partner contractor.

Limits

The tool is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, The Great House LLC isn't liable for decisions made from the tool without a signed contract. Virginia law governs these terms.
